GRIT WASHER

SEDIWASH

Flows up to 570GPM

Sediwash Technology

The Sedwash is considered the best option for plants in which organics recovery is the priority. The Sediwash not only classifies the grit but washes the grit to less than 3% volatile solids and extracts grit up to 90% dry.

The Sediwash is beneficial for Anaerobic Digestion and Cow Grit bedding applications.

Components

The sludge enters through the Wet Grit Inlet and overflows out of the water outlet. The grit sediments through a screen and forms a sand bedding. A Shafted screw then extracts the washed grit out of the unit.

Flow

The Coanda effect by the shape of the Sediwash induces settling of the grit and suspension of the organic matter.

Water is injected to wash the grit and maintain the inlet velocity.

Outlet

The Effluent flows out of the top of the Sediwash. An organic outlet is available as an option to transfer the organics to a biogas reactor

Our centrifuges were designed with ease of maintenance in mind.  It is one of our greatest strengths.

Scouring

Sediwash-Stirrer.jpg

The â€‹Central Stirrer mechanically scours the grit by making the grit particles abrade against each other and release the organic particles.  The Sedimented Grit forms a sand bedding and passes through the perforated screen

Sand Level Sensor

A Sensor measures the sand bedding level and activates the grit extraction screw

Manure

Grit bedding recovery and washing is another great application for the Sediwash
