Screw pump due to the small dimensions of the high, allow the pumping of the product without pulsation and keep the fluid unaltered without damage it. Accept the presence of solid parts and can be suitable to pump fluid with viscosity up to 1.000.000 cps.

PUMP COMPONENTS / FEATURES |
| |
ROTOR
It is a screw shape with circular section and, rotating in to the stator, allows the pumping of the fluid. The pressure of the pump depends on the number of stages. Every stage gives a pressure of 6 bar. Nova Rotors has two types of rotors: standard and long step type that, considering the same diameter and eccentricity, doubles the capacity increasing the pump performance. |
STATOR
It is the fixed part of vulcanized rubber, contained or less on the metal tube, shaped like a circular screw quarry where the rotor rotates. |

SEAL
:Is the connection between the fix part and the rotating part of the pump to prevent the exit of the medium.
The selection of the type is depending from the fluid to pump.

Packing seal
It is a standard seal with packed PTFE rings at low friction coefficient. Solution with a low installation cost. Useful to process medium with suspension solid and abrasive. Pressure: up to 6 bar.
| |
Packing seal with flushing
It is a standard seal with packed PTFE rings and flushing rings. Flushing pressure must be from 0.5 to 1 bar higher than the body pressure and compatible with the medium. Suitable to process very abrasive fluid. Pressure: up to 6 bar.
| |
Ring oil seal
Seal with lips in contact, ideal in case of worm gear reducer use. High compactness and easy of maintenance. Suitable for processing products with high viscosity. Pressures: max 2 bar
| |
Mechanical seal
Made of a stationary part and a rotating part, used with elastomeric or metallic spring. faces in contact has a friction coefficient very low. Independent from rotation sense. They are used to process product with big viscosity and low quantity of solid. Pressure: up to 25 bar
| |
Double mechanical seal “back to back”
The faces are not in contact with medium. Flushed liquid must be compatible with the fluid and the flushing pressure has to be bigger than 1 bar referring the body pressure. Suitable for solid medium, abrasive and aggressive. Pressure: up to 25 bar
| |
Mechanical seal for food
The faces in contact has a very low coefficient of friction. Not depending from the rotating sense. The seal is completely flooded in the medium. Suitable for big viscosity medium with small quantity of solid. Pressure: up to 16 bar.
| |
Mechanical seal with “quench”
In agreement with specification of the mechanical seal, the flushing not in pressure, is useful for pumps with inverse rotation sense like vertical pumps and for all the application where the product has solid residue and abrasive parts. Pressure: up to 25 bar.
